Back from speaking with Telrim in the Nexus

Starscream strides into the room that she's set aside for the young yeerk's use, her steps sharp and precise as she focuses on her anger instead of the PINpoint that she just gave to the human woman she'd hoped to protect.

"You!" she says coldly to the creature, all trace of her usual friendly demeanor missing. "Have you been in contact with your superiors?"

"Or I'm simply too great for a mere organic to understand." The smirk in her voice is unmistakable. As is the lack of concern.

Closer come the drones, deadly silver blue needles piercing the sky. Closer. One of them shoots across Starscream's nose.

"I understand arrogance. And skill." It makes itself hold still, but can't avoid a squeak at that shot across the bows. "What are they?"

"Skyseamers." Starscream suddenly whips into motion, but the drones that had separated to shoot at her from both sides pull up at the last moment and pursue her, their shots missing by centimeters as she chuckles and dodges just enough to avoid them. The drone AIs calculate, trying to find a pattern to her movements. Failing this, they try to pin her between them again, and again fail. This time one of them takes friendly fire and topples ground-ward.

"That one had a glitch." Starscream doesn't sound pleased.

Arrash is less prone to dizziness than a humanoid used to two-dimensional motion might be, but it struggles to keep up with which way Starscream's going from nanosecond to nanosecond.

Maybe it should just try to enjoy the ride.

"They're... not sentient?"
