Back from speaking with Telrim in the Nexus

Starscream strides into the room that she's set aside for the young yeerk's use, her steps sharp and precise as she focuses on her anger instead of the PINpoint that she just gave to the human woman she'd hoped to protect.

"You!" she says coldly to the creature, all trace of her usual friendly demeanor missing. "Have you been in contact with your superiors?"

"Don't confuse it with the human usage of the word. Family are the beings that one forms a rapport with; the ones that you work with the most smoothly." She scans her passenger. "You seem tense. Are you experiencing discomfort?"

Yes, Arrash, you just saw part of her family and the rapport that she shares with that creation.

"No," Arrash says, a bit too sharply. It pauses to calm its tone before it speaks again. "You are doing nothing that would discomfort me." And it dares her to suggest otherwise.

On the matter of family it has little more to say. Arrash has found many people it can work smoothly with, as it ascends the ranks, but it wouldn't go so far as to say they have a rapport. Certainly never to ascribe them such a label as 'family'. Another feature of Transformer culture it can only know, without understanding.

Starscream only snorts at it, then goes into a gentle dive toward the building that they left at the beginning of the outing. Seen from above the compound is busy, though without the bustle of an ant hill. It's organized, efficient, but still comfortable.

And Starscream's aware of everything that goes on in its labs and workshops, and most of what's going on in the hallways and rec rooms.

Multitasker of doom agogo is she.

Were Arrash to know just how aware she is, it would impressed. Uncomfortable, but impressed. For now it only suspects.

"I didn't realise the full size of your facility," it remarks as they descend.

"Hmmm?" Starscream shifts and ejects the exosuit into her hands as she touches down. "Oh. This is only my home compound."

Arrash clicks in surprise. Even Council members have nothing like that, but then, they could scarcely afford to even if they had the resources. The fleet hanging over their heads might notice. "How many do you have?"

"I am Chief Scientist for this sector." She sets the shell on her shoulder and walks inside, an absently pleased smirk on her face that has partly to do with thinking of her domain, and partly to do with the gentle greeting that just came over her spark bond.

"I'm surprised you have time to play with underlings," Arrash remarks. It's really a silly point, since it knows very well anyone that highly placed can make their own time.

"All work and no play...." She hands the exosuited yeerk to the blue-skinned drone who comes to take it.

"...Makes Starscream a dull girl," finishes the drone in her voice and with her smirk.

Arrash does not blink.

But in its own mind it turns to its mental image of the Council and shrugs. Well, what should I say to that?

Outwardly, it looks at them both, ancient Cybertronian and her technological puppet, and clicks. "One day, I hope to learn that trick."

"Most organic minds fracture in the attempt." She looks down the hall. "35 will take you back to your quarters now. There should be enough kadrona in the bowl on the counter to meet your needs."

Arrash is wondering about those fracturing minds, but it saves that thought for later. "...Thank you. It was an... interesting excursion."
